Imperial Hotel charmed me with its central location on the main street, a cozy base for exploring the vibrant culture of the area. As an Irish landscape photographer with a taste for the traditional, experiencing the interwoven layers of geology, food, and music at the Burren felt like a treasure trove of inspiration. Breakfast became a highlight with gluten-free options like sausages and puddings, a rare find that filled me with joy. the table service added a touch of elegance, making each meal a leisurely affair. the plain variety of smoked salmon, delicately showcased, offered a true taste of the region. The ambiance of the Matchmaker Bar was inviting, though service lacked a bit of consistency. Despite minor shortcomings, the warmth of the staff and the culinary innovation make Imperial Hotel a spot I would revisit for a gastronomic adventure in the heart of Ireland.
